Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office
- HANOVER - Thomas C. Braun, 25, of Kenmore was charged Saturday with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, operating a vehicle while using a mobile device and not wearing a seat belt.
Deputies said Braun was stopped on Alleghany Road in Sunset Bay for not wearing a seat belt and using a mobile device while driving.
A check revealed his operating status had been suspended four times on three separate dates.
He was issued appearance tickets for Hanover Town Court.
- HANOVER - Shawn M. Kirk, 20, of Washington, Conn., was charged Friday with driving while intoxicated and endangering the welfare of a child.
deputies said Kirk was stopped on Route 20 in the Town of Hanover for speeding.
The investigation led to the DWI charge and he was also found to be in possession of marijuana and an open container of alcohol.
A passenger in the vehicle was a 14-year-old child.
He is to answer the charges in Hanover Town Court.
- ELLINGTON - Cody Taylor, 16, of Jamestown was injured Saturday when the ATV he was operating on Thorton Road on private property.
Deputies said the youth lost control and hit a large tree.
He was transported to WCA Hospital for treatment of head and arm lacerations.
No charges were placed.
- HANOVER - Dennis J. Harper, 52, of Dunkirk was charged Friday with following too closely after he hit a vehicle operated by Sharon L. Opie, 48, of Irving on Route 5 & 20 in Irving.
Deputies said Opie was stopped waiting to make a left turn and Harper did not see her vehicle in time to avoid running into the rear of it.
Harper was not injured but Opie was and she was taken to Lake Shore Hospital for treatment of what was described as non-life-threatening injuries.
Opie was ticketed for not wearing a seat belt.
- ELLICOTT - Adam T. Zebrowski, 35, of Gerry was charged Friday with felony driving while intoxicated, having ,08 percent or more blood alcohol content and failure to stop at a stop sign.
Deputies said he was stopped on Route 60 in the Town of Ellicott for failure to stop at a stop sign on the off ramp of Interstate 86 and Route 60.
The investigation led to him being charged with driving while intoxicated, a felony because he had been convicted of a previous DWI within the past 10 years.
He was arraigned on the charged in Ellicott Town Court and was committed to Chautauqua County Jail.
- NORTH HARMONY - Derrick J. Nickerson, 29, of Mayville was charged Friday with driving while intoxicated, having .08 percent or more blood alcohol content and failure to stop at a stop sign.
Deputies said Nickerson failed to stop at the intersection of the I-86 off ramp and Route 394.
The investigation led to the DWI charge and the others.
He is to answer them in North Harmony Town Court.
Silver Creek Police
- Crystal D. Barrett, 34, of Buffalo Street, was charged on July 3 with disorderly conduct. She was issued an appearance ticket to appear in Silver Creek Village Court on July 22 at 7 p.m.
- Mark D. Nykyforchyn, 21, of Hamburg, was charged on July 5 with failure to use a turn signal, driving while intoxicated and operating a motor vehicle with blood alcohol content above .08 percent. Nykyforchyn was arraigned in Silver Creek Village Court and was released on his own recognizance. He is scheduled to reappear in court on Sept. 2 at 1:30 p.m.
Silver Creek Court
- Mark D. Nykyforchyn, 21, of Hamburg, was arrested and arraigned on a charge of driving while intoxicated. He was released on his own recognizance to return to court on Sept. 2.
- Randy J. Peoples, 48, of Lake Avenue, was arraigned on two felony counts of second-degree criminal mischief. He was remanded to Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail and will return to court on Sept. 2.
- Matthew J. Bohn, 24, of Fredonia, was arraigned on charges of driving while intoxicated, no passing, failure to dim lights, equipment violation and aggravated driving while intoxicated. He was given interim probation for one year and returns to court for sentencing in July 2010.
- Bradley W. Carson, 25, of Woodstock, pleaded guilty to facilitating aggravated unlicensed operation and was fined $285.
- Jose H. Cisneros, 23, of Angola, was sent to Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of $1,000 bail for a probation violation. He returns to court Aug. 5.
- Donald S. Colley, 43, of Angola, pleaded guilty to driving while intoxicated. He was fined $900 and his license was revoked.
- Daniel C. Edwards Sr., 31, of Silver Creek, pleaded guilty to criminal contempt and was fined $405. Another charge of criminal contempt was dismissed.
- John M. England, 45, of Lake View, received a six-month adjournment in contemplation of dismissal on a charge of petit larceny.
- Michael L. Feldman, 23, of Derby, pleaded guilty to second-degree harassment and was fined $275. Charges of criminal possession of a controlled substance and marijuana were dismissed.
- Dennaleigh Jamieson, 28, of Versailles, pleaded guilty to facilitating aggravated unlicensed operation and was fined $285.
- Laura J. Mitchell, 21, of Forestville, pleaded guilty to facilitating aggravated unlicensed operation and was fined $285.
- Phillip B. Russell, 34, of Forestville, pleaded guilty to facilitating aggravated unlicensed operation and was fined $285.
- Jesus M. Serrano, 20, of Silver Creek, was granted a six-month adjournment in contemplation of dismissal on a charge of second-degree harassment.
- Viktor Shapiro, 17, of Amherst, was arraigned on charges of aggravated unlicensed operation, vehicle glass violation, unsafe tires, plate violations, no registration, no insurance and no inspection. He returns to court Sept. 2.
- Francine E. Twoguns, 46, of Irving, pleaded guilty to driving while intoxicated. She was fined $900 and her license was revoked.
- Ida L. Weber-Smith, 41, of Fredonia, was given a six-month adjournment in contemplation of dismissal on a charge of second-degree criminal contempt.
