George and Maxine (Bull) Gens of Fredonia, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on June 6 at 2 p.m. with a wedding renewal ceremony officiated by the Rev. Matthew Stengel at the First United Methodist Church in Fredonia. Special music was provided by the couple's son, Brian Gens.
A reception immediately followed, given by their children, David Gens of Fredonia, Karen Jakiel of Erie, Pa., and Brian Gens of Warwick, NY.
Out of state guests came from Pennsylvania, Ohio, and North Carolina.
