Alzheimer's Association, WNY Chapter Memory Walk, registration: 9 a.m., walk: 10 a.m. Chautauqua Institution, Turner Community Center, Chautauqua. Annual Memory Walk raises funds for important programs and services for those affected by Alzheimer's and dementia throughout the eight counties of WNY. Money raised at Memory Walk support local Alzheimer programs and services. After each walk, participants can enjoy music, food, and raffles. Run for Liberty, 10 a.m., Audubon Center & Sanctuary, 1600 Riverside Road, Jamestown. Cost: $20 ($18 by early registration deadline, Sept. 18). 5K Trail Run/Walk fund-raiser for care of Jamestown Audubon's non-releasable Bald Eagle, Liberty.

Piano Experience, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Mason Hall. A day full of activities for high school pianists. Meet Fredonia's piano faculty, perform in a master class (by taped audition), attend workshops and performances, play in piano ensemble, meet other young pianists, and more. Open to all high school pianists, particularly ideal for students who may be considering auditioning for admission to the SUNY Fredonia School of Music. Flag Retirement Ceremony, 11 a.m., Dunkirk Firemans Training Grounds. Any soiled and unserviceable American Flags will be disposed at this event. The public is invited to bring their flags for proper disposal. Flags can also be dropped off at the Dunkirk Memorial Post 62, 211 Central Ave or the Acquavia Post on Lake Shore Drive.

Provides an opportunity for those who have experienced a major loss to gather to express their feelings and to support one another in a caring way.
