Fredonia woman faces four charges
A Fredonia woman faces four charges Friday after police pulled her vehicle over and allegedly found nine hypodermic needles inside.
Officers viewed the vehicle, driven by Gwyn Steger, 30, of Terrace Place, cross a double solid line. Officers pursued her after traffic passed and saw the driver go over the curb while turning on to Temple Street, before she turned down Terrace Street and into a residential driveway.
Upon inspection of the vehicle officers found an open bottle of beer along with a plastic bag containing nine hypodermic syringes, a glass mirror, a spoon with burnt residue, a shoe string, a bottle of bleach and some small cotton. One of the syringes contained approximately 19 CCs of an unknown liquid which will be sent to the New York State crime lab.
Steger, 30, of Terrace Place was charged Oct. 16 with possession of a hypodermic instrument, violation of an open container law, driving while intoxicated and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
Fredonia Police
Margaret Schrum, 23, of West Seneca was charged Oct. 11 with violation of an open container law.
Joshua Runkel, 28, of Temple Street was charged Oct. 11 with harassment physical contact and burglary ill-entry. A domestic violence report was also filed.
Dunkirk Police
Terin Butler, 19, of Washington Avenue was charged Oct. 9 with criminal mischief.
Amanda Hardy, 22, of Harmon Hill Road, Fredonia was charged Oct. 10 with driving while intoxicated and failure to use designated lane.
Luis Rivera, 31, of Canary Street was charged Oct. 10 with harassment and criminal mischief.
Silver Creek Court
Jared T. Babcock, 17, of Stebbins Road, Silver Creek, was arraigned on a charge of disorderly conduct. His case was adjourned to Nov. 4.
Robert A. Hines, 16, of Forestville, pleaded guilty to harassment in the second degree and received a conditional discharge.
Amber R. Krull, 21, of Buffalo Street, Silver Creek, was arraigned on a charge of unlawful dealing with a child. She was released on her own recognizance to return court Dec. 2.
Matthew J. Lunetta, 34, of Falconer, was arraigned on aggravated unlicensed operation. His case was adjourned to Nov. 4.
Ryan C. Marcey, 18, of Hawkins Street, Silver Creek, was arraigned on a charge of disorderly conduct. He will return to court Jan. 6.
Stephen P. Nelson, 62, of Jamestown, pleaded guilty to facilitating aggravated unlicensed operation and was fined $285.
Christopher D. Page, 35, of North Main Street, Silver Creek, pleaded guilty to open container and was fined $50.
David N. Payne, III, 19, of Hoyt Street, Dunkirk, was arraigned on aggravated unlicensed operation. He was adjourned to Dec. 2.
Crystal A. Perry, 51, of North Main Street, Silver Creek, pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct and was fined $150.
Christina M. Roberto, 20, of Central Avenue, Silver Creek, plead guilty to dog at large and unlicensed dog. She was fined $50.
Matthew R. Shaw, 23, of Adams Street, Silver Creek, pleaded guilty to two counts of dog at large and was fined $50.
Richard F. Smith, 49, of Robinson Street, Silver Creek, received a three month adjournment in contemplation of dismissal on a barking dog offense.
Chris Thompson, 17, of Beebe Road, Silver Creek, pleaded guilty to a curfew violation and was fined $50.
Joseph K. Thompson, 42, of Park Avenue, Dunkirk, was arraigned on driving while intoxicated. He was released on his own recognizance and returns to court Dec. 2.
Cortnie B. Tietz, 26, of Main Street, Silver Creek, had her barking dog violation dismissed following a non-jury trial.
Jonathan R. White, 32, of Pennsylvania Avenue, Silver Creek, pleaded guilty to open container and was fined $50.
