Gowanda Police Department
Quorry M. France, 28, of Machias was charged Oct. 3 with possession of marijuana and open container of alcohol in vehicle following a traffic stop on West Main Street. France reportedly possessed a marijuana pipe in his front left pocket.
David Smith, 36, of Arcade was charged Oct. 3 with aggravated unlicensed operation following a traffic stop on West Main Street. It was reportedly determined that Smith's driver's license had been suspended.
Smith was released on traffic tickets to Persia Town Court.
Jesse Warrior, 29, of Gowanda was charged Oct. 4 with criminal mischief, fleeing from police, obstructing governmental administration, reckless driving, speeding, failure to maintain lane, leaving the scene of an accident, driving off the shoulder of the road, no tail lights, unsafe turn, criminal possession of a controlled substance and filing of a false instrument.
Patrol reportedly observed Warrior's vehicle to be operating on the wrong side of the road. When patrol attempted to stop the vehicle, it led to a chase. Warrior ran from his vehicle after causing a crash with a police vehicle, then later came to the Gowanda Police Department to report his vehicle as stolen. An officer identified Warrior as being the operator of the vehicle and he was subsequently taken in to custody. At the time of the booking, Warrior was reportedly found to be in possession of what appeared to be a controlled substance that he had brought with him to the police department. He was arraigned in Collins Town Court.
Daniel Knowles, 30, of Palm Bay, Fla. was charged Oct. 4 with aggravated unlicensed operation, no license and no tail lights following a vehicle stop on West Main Street. Knowles was scheduled to return to Persia Town Court for further process.
Frank W. Kiley III, 36, of Angola was picked up Oct. 5 on a bench warrant from the town of Collins. No judge was available for arraignment at the time and Kiley was released on an appearance ticket.
Robert E. Miskell, 56, of Gowanda was charged Oct. 8 with second-degree harassment after patrol was called to an Aldrich Street residence for a reported disturbance. Miskell admitted to patrol that he had pushed the victim during an argument. He was issued an appearance ticket to Persia Town Court.
Peter J. Kojm, 50, of Cheektowaga was charged Oct. 9 with suspended registration following a traffic stop. He was scheduled to return to Persia Town Court for further process.
Michael R. Hill, 25, of Carrollton, N.Y. was picked up Oct. 11 on an outstanding warrant from the city of Salamanca. He was turned over to authorities for process.
Dakota J. Lytel, 26, of Salamanca was charged Oct. 11 with driving while intoxicated and failure to maintain lane after patrol reportedly observed his vehicle to be on the front lawn of a residence with the motor running. Patrol approached the vehicle and found Lytel asleep behind the wheel. He was arraigned in Persia Town Court and transported to Cattaraugus County Jail.
Daniel P. Halloran, 42, of Brant was charged Oct. 11 with driving while intoxicated, aggravated unlicensed operation, unsafe motion from lane, possession of marijuana and open container of alcohol in vehicle after patrol reportedly observed his vehicle striking a curb. Halloran was arraigned in Collins Town Court and his vehicle impounded.
