Sal Dicembre has held the position of Town of Collins Assessor for 16 years.

He is endorsed by the Republican, Conservative, and Independence party lines as he seeks re-election on Nov. 3.

Dicembre's dedication has been demonstrated in his more than 30 years of employment with Gernatt Gravel Products.

While still in high school, he started working part-time for the company. Today he is Vice President of Engineering and also Safety Director.

Projects he helped design include the New York State Trooper's Barracks, the Gernatt Family of Companies main office and St. Joseph's rectory.

Dicembre has a hand in many organizations throughout the community, including the Hollywood Theater.

He currently serves as its vice president and he and other board members are working diligently to restore the theater, which is also known as the "Jewel of Main Street."

Dicembre was president of the Collins Library for 10 years, during which time he and other board members not only avoided the library's imminent closure, but successfully built the existing building.

Dicembre is still a member of the Collins Library board, as well as a member of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, the Southern Tier H.O.G., Gowanda Moose Club, Slovenian Club, Gowanda Area Chamber of Commerce and the Southern Tier Sno-Drifters, where he helps with rerouting trails and keeping the main corridor trails open.

Dicembre is seeking the support of Collins residents on Nov. 3.

If re-elected, he will continue to give citizens of Collins the confidence that their assessments are fair, impartial, and accurate.

He is committed to being open and responsive to taxpayer questions and concerns.
