State Police Collins

DAYTON - Chelse Liszkiewicz, 18, of South Quaker Road, Gowanda and Samantha Knopf, 18, of Route 353, Dayton were both charged Oct. 19 with fourth-degree grand larceny following a lengthy investigation.

The two girls were allegedly at a house party in Dayton when they reportedly stole two wallets from an unlocked car parked at the home. The investigation had reached a dead end until Liszkiewicz was re-interviewed during a traffic stop in September. Information was develoepd from there and the stolen wallets, including credit cards and personal papers, were recovered.

Liszkiewicz and Knopf were scheduled to appear in Dayton Town Court.

GOWANDA - Todd Green, 24, of Route 438, Gowanda was charged Oct. 18 with fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property after he reportedly summoned Troopers to a home on Route 438 for help retrieving some of his personal belongings. One item Green reportedly maintained was his, a 46-inch flat screen TV, was in fact stolen from a home in Machias a few months ago. Troopers on the scene reportedly verified the stolen item with a Trooper from Machias and Green was taken in to custody. He was scheduled to appear in Collins Town Court.

LAWTONS - Alan Cerne, 62, of Route 62, North Collins was charged Oct. 17 with aggravated driving while intoxicated after his pickup was stopped on Route 62. Cerne was processed at the Collins barracks with a reportable BAC of .22 percent. He was scheduled to appear in North Collins Town Court.

PERRYSBURG - James Lewellyn, 29, of Prospect Street, Fredonia was charged Oct. 10 with driving while intoxicated after his car was stopped on Versailles Road. Troopers reportedly stopped him because one of his car headlights was out and he was found to be intoxicated. Potter was processed in the Collins barracks with a reportable BAC of .08 percent and was scheduled to appear in Perrysburg Town Court.

SOUTH DAYTON - Randy Spencer, 21, of Main Street, South Dayton was charged Oct. 10 with second-degree harassment following a reported domestic incident. Spencer was reportedly involved in an argument with his girlfriend when he shoved and tackled her onto a bed. Spencer was arraigned in South Dayton Village Court and scheduled to reappear.

SOUTH DAYTON - Dale Sandy, 31, of Mill Street, South Dayton was charged Oct. 9 with second-degree assault following a fight outside of Rough Kutts Bar in South Dayton.

On Oct. 4, Sandy reportedly assault a 22-year-old Gowanda resident in the parking lot, punching and kicking the victim repeatedly in the head and face. The victim suffered fractures to his sinus and facial area and had to be treated at Hamot Medical Center in Erie, Pa. Sandy was processed, arraigned in Persia Town Court and sent to Cattaraugus County Jail on $1,500 cash bail. He was scheduled to appear in South Dayton Village Court.

Nathan Danler, 31, of Main Street, North Collins was charged Oct. 9 with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, fifth-degree criminal possession of marijuana and unlawful possession of marijuana after his car was stopped on Bagdad Road in Collins. Troopers reportedly observed a baggie on the driver's seat, in plain view, containing three grams of marijuana. Troopers also reportedly found 1.5 grams of crack cocaine packaged in seven baggies. A computer check revealed Danler had an active arrest warrant from Pinellas County Sheriff's Department in Florida for grand theft.

Denler was subsequently charged as a fugitive from justice, processed, arraigned in Collins Town Court and sent to the Erie County Holding Center on $1,500 bail.

John Belter, 31, of Boston State Road, Hamburg was charged Oct. 7 with 16 counts of second-degree forgery and violation of his parole following a complaint received one week earlier.

A clerk at the Seneca One Stop in Irving contacted representatives from the TLC Health Network regarding a gas purchase Belter had made Sept. 29 on their account. The clerk recognized Belter, but noticed he had signed a gas receipt under a different name. The investigation revealed that Belter had made gas purchases from the Seneca One Stop on 16 separate occasions, totaling almost $600 under other names.

Belter was arraigned in Brant Town Court, posted bail and was scheduled to return.

BRANT - Sheryl Tash, 54, of Clover Place, Cheektowaga was charged Oct. 5 with driving while intoxicated, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. Tash's vehicle was believed to have been involved in an accident on Old Lake Shore Road and Route 5 in Brant. Emergency personnel arrived to reportedly find Tash's car parked on the roadway with her slumped over the wheel, intoxicated. She was taken to Lake Shore Hospital where she was found to have no injuries, but reportedly became uncooperative with both ER staff and Troopers, refusing to provide a blood sample. She later became combative when being taken to the Collins barracks for processing.

Rash was arraigned in Brant Town Court and sent to the Erie County Holding Center on $500 bail.

Spencer Speers, 20, of Main Street, Collins was charged Oct. 4 with disseminating indecent material to a minor, two counts of sexual misconduct and endangering the welfare of a child following a weeklong investigation.

Parents contacted State Police after they found pictures of a naked adult man in their 15-year-old daughter's email. While the pictures did not show the man's face, investigators were reportedly able to identify Speers because of tattoos on his upper body. The investigation revealed that Speers had befriended the 15-year-old and they had sexual relations twice. He was processed at the Collins barracks and was scheduled to appear in Collins Town Court.

PERRYSBURG - Mathew Easterly-Press, 20, of North Road, Perrysburg was charged Oct. 2 with second-degree rape and endangering the welfare of a child after he reportedly had sexual relations with a 14-year-old female in May. The two met through MySpace, arranged to meet in South Dayton - where Press had lived at the time - and had the encounter. Press was scheduled to appear in South Dayton Village Court to answer the charges.

Allan Kennedy, 37, of Versailles Plank Road, Lawtons was charged Oct. 1 with felony driving while intoxicated and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child after his car was stopped on Route 39 in Collins. Troopers reportedly stopped Kennedy for numerous traffic violations and found him to be intoxicated. His two juvenile children were with him when he was stopped. Kennedy was processed at the Collins barracks with a reportable BAC of .18 percent, arraigned in Collins Town Court and sent to the Erie County Holding Center on $500 bail. The children were taken from the scene to relatives by Seneca Nation of Indians Marshals.
