A 50th wedding anniversary celebration was held on Oct. 3 in Westfield for Larry and Shirley (Near) Ormsby.
Mr. Ormsby worked for Kraft Foods for 30 years and Al Tech Steel Plant for 10 years. Mrs. Ormsby was a homemaker for many years and then owned and operated The Country Flower Shoppe in Brocton.
The couple were married on Oct. 3, 1959 and have four children; Kelly (Robert) Ransom, Cindy (Jim Kingsley) Wilson, Wendy (Greg) Irish all of Brocton and Terry (Lauren) Ormsby of Ripley. They also have 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
