Pagan running for Dunkirk Town Council

Juan Pagan, running unopposed, has gratefully accepted to fill the vacant councilman position for the Town of Dunkirk. He is endorsed by the Republican Party.

Pagan feels privileged to serve the residents of the township of Dunkirk as Town Councilman.

"I have enjoyed serving the people of our township," Pagan said.

Pagan is a life member with the East Town of Dunkirk Volunteer Fire Company and served as past fire chief and EMS captain. He has also served on the county level on various boards, including the Chautauqua County Emergency Medical Services Board, Fire Advisory Board, Chautauqua County Medical Services Council (Council-at-Large), and past member of the NYS Association of Fire Chiefs. He is currently Vice President of the East Town of Dunkirk Volunteer Fire Company.

Working in the steel manufacturing for over 28 years, Pagan is a retired member of the United Steelworkers of America Local 2693. He was involved with safety and health issues, as chairman and member of the Joint Safety, and Health Committee, and past Grievemen for Local 2693. Presently, Pagan is employed at NRG as fuel and material handling since 2004, and is a member of IBEW Local 97.

Serving his parish, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Pagan has been an adult adviser with the SEAS youth group for over 10 years at his parish.

Pagan resides with his wife, Bedsaida (Betty), of 32 years on Bennett Road, Dunkirk.
