Two charged with DWI

  • HANOVER - Dennis J. Snyder, 24, of North Main Street, Cattaraugus was charged Saturday with felony driving while intoxicated, felony first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and refusing to submit to a pre-screening test.

Deputies responding to a report of a vehicle in a ditch on Hopper Road found Snyder on the road talking to a passing motorist who had stopped to help him.

A check of his driver's license revealed it had been revoked because of a previous DWI conviction.

He was arraigned in Hanover Town Court and was committed to Chautauqua County Jail when he failed to post bail.

  • HANOVER - Alan R. Kilburn, 25, of Silver Creek was charged Friday with felony driving while intoxicated, felony aggravated DWI and felony aggravated unlicensed operation.

He also was cited for having an open bottle of alcohol in the vehicle and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

Deputies said they spotted a vehicle reportedly used in a crime in the Village of Silver Creek.

Officers stopped the vehicle on Angel Road and found Kilburn intoxicated and charged him accordingly.

He was arraigned and committed to Chautauqua County Jail.
