Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office

  • SHERIDAN - Kaitlyn M. Brunn, 17, of Sheridan was charged Monday with third-degree menacing, second-degree harassment and unlawful possession of marijuana.

Deputies called to a residence on Route 5 in Sheridan for a domestic dispute found that Brunn allegedly threatened her mother with a pair of shears and then got physical with her.

Brunn was taken into custody and once in custody, was found to have a small quantity of marijuana.

She was removed from the residence and was released, to appear in Sheridan Town Court.

  • FALCONER - Paul M. Burger, 21, of West Main Street, Falconer was charged Monday with second-degree aggravated harassment.

Deputies said he allegedly called a Niobe Road resident and threatened to come to the house and kill him.

Burger will answer the charge in Harmony Town Court.

Cattaraugus County Court

  • Claudia A. Smith, 42, of Lawtons was sentenced to eight weekends in the Cattaraugus County Jail, 5 years probation, $3,500 fine and her license was revoked for her conviction of aggravated driving while intoxicated, a class E felony, to satisfy a pending indictment. The incident occurred on or about Dec. 13, 2008, in the town of Persia, when she operated a motor vehicle while she was in an intoxicated condition, having a .27 percent BAC.
