Carl R. Seegert, 84, of Silver Creek, NY died Tuesday (Nov. 10, 2009) at Lake Shore Hospital in Irving, NY. He was born June 2, 1925 in Silver Creek, NY, the son of the late Walter and Mabel (Neundorf)

Seegert. Mr. Seegert had worked in the dairy industry most of his life, having worked for the former Seegert's Dairy before retiring from Meadow Brook Dairy in Dunkirk. A lifelong member of

Zion Lutheran Church, he had served on the church council, remaining active until his illness. He was a

50-year member of both the Silver Creek Hose Company of the Silver Creek Fire Department and the

Silver Creek Moose Club. He also was a social member of the Silver Creek VFW.

Carl was a loving husband and best friend to Diana (Miserendino) Seegert. He was the father of Buffalo

attorney Walter (Elaine) Seegert of Buffalo and Suzanne (Paul) Blankenberg of Silver Creek.

Grandfather of Rebecca (Frank) Miolsi, Melissa (Jim) Nopwaskey, Seth Seegert, Sara and Jenna

Blankenberg. Great grandfather of Ava Miolsi. Also survived by several nieces and nephews and daughter

in law, Kathy Seegert. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by one son, Tom Seegert; two brothers, Frederick "Fritz" and Gilbert Seegert; and two sisters, Elizabeth James and Dorothea Clark. Funeral services will be held Friday, Nov. 13, 2009, at 10 a.m. from the Zion Lutheran Church in Silver

Creek. Interment will be in Glenwood Cemetery. The family will be present at the

Hole-Parker Funeral Chapel, Silver Creek from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday. Memorial contributions are

suggested to the Silver Creek Emergency Squad and Zion Lutheran Church.To send condolences, go
