James L. "Goat" Jagoda Jr., 52, of Dunkirk passed away suddenly Thursday (Nov. 12, 2009) following a brief illness.

He was born Aug. 12, 1957 in Dunkirk, the son of James L. Sr. and Jean (Majka) Jagoda of Dunkirk.

A Dunkirk High School graduate, Mr. Jagoda had been employed as a truck driver for the Department of Public Works.

Besides his parents, he is survived by a son, Justin J. (Rae) Jagoda of Ontario, NY; a granddaughter, Kenzi Jagoda; two brothers, Michael A. Jagoda of Cassadaga and Lorry A. Jagoda of Dunkirk; two nephews, Michael and Tim Jagoda; and his maternal grandmother, Theresa Majka of Dunkirk.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Anthony Majka; and his paternal grandparents, Frank and Catherine Jagoda (Eddy).

Private memorial services will be held at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are by the McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home.
