New York State Troopers

  • PERRYSBURG - Dana Jimerson, 43, of Indian Hill Road, Perrysburg was arrested Nov. 3 by State Police as the result of an investigation into a domestic dispute at his home.

Officers said he was charged with third-degree assault, second-degree criminal mischief, second-degree reckless endangerment and harassment.

Troopers were met at the home by the female victim who had been hit numerous times, shoved, pushed and dragged around the garage after she argued with Jimerson.

He also broke numerous items inside the home and had thrown a five-pound dumbbell at the victim during the argument.

He was arraigned in Perrysburg Town Court and was committee to Cattaraugus County Court in lieu of $750 bail.

  • Troopers also conducted a stationary road check on Route 60 in the Town of Dunkirk made the following arrests:

Chad Cook, 19, of Chapin Road, Sheridan was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana after he was found possessing a baggie containing five grams of the illegal drug.

The baggie was in plain sight when Cook came through the road check, officers said.

Aaron Cole, 18, of South Pangolin Street, Dunkirk was charged with driving while intoxicated under the influence of drugs and unlawful possession of marijuana.

Troopers said Cole had smoked marijuana just before going through the checkpoint.

Officers found a small amount of marijuana on the floor of Cole's vehicle after the troopers' K9 drug dog alerted following a sniff of the car.

Elaine Parker, 50, of Route 438, Irving was charged with felony driving while intoxicated after her vehicle was stopped on Richardson Road in Collins.

She reportedly failed to stop for a stop sign at Richardson and Route 62, and was found to be intoxicated.

She also had a blood alcohol content of .12 per cent.

The charges are to be answered in Collins Town Court.

Michele Wojnowicz, 48, of Iroquois Drive, Irving was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana after she was stopped on Route 5 for an inadequate headlight violation.

She was found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana and a pipe with marijuana in it.

Her passenger, Lisa Kaveney, 44, of Decker Road, Derby, was also charged with unlawful possession of marijuana after she was found with three grams.

Both defendants are to answer the charges in Brant Town Court.

Edward Holtz, 39, of Lover Lane Road, Cattaraugus was charged with third-degree grand larceny and falsifying business records.

His arrest came after a two-week investigation into irregularities with the bell jar fundraising at the Cattaraugus Volunteer Fire Department.

The investigation revealed Holtz had stolen approximately $30,000 from the fire department while he was a bartender at the firemen's club.

He is to answer the charges in Albion Town Court.

George Maybee, 44, of Center Street, Angola was charged with driving while intoxicated after he was stopped on Route 5 in Brant for speeding.

He also had a blood alcohol content of .12 percent and is to answer the charges in Brant Town Court.

Jason Sobota, 36, of Utopia Road, Nashville was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana.

He was stopped on Route 63 in Collins and was found to have approximately 2.5 grams of marijuana.

The charge is to be answered in Collins Town Court.

Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office

  • MINA - Roxanna L. Earle, 34, of Panama was charged Friday with driving while intoxicated and having .08 percent or more blood alcohol content.

Deputies said an investigation into a vehicle accident at Marks Corners Road in the Town of Mina led to the DWI charges,

Earle also was cited for speeding and failure to keep right.

She was arraigned and released to a sober individual and is to answer the charges in Mina Town Court.

  • CLYMER - The name of the individual involved in a one-vehicle crash Saturday on Route 474 is being withheld.

Deputies said there was one person injured in the accident and they were transported to Hamot Medical Center in Erie, Pa., for treatment.

The investigation into this accident is continuing.

  • MAYVILLE - Mitchel W. Kardeen, 20, of Jamestown was featured on the Sheriff' Office's Wanted Persons list for fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property.

He has been arrested and his name has been removed from the wanted list.

  • MAYVILLE - Larry M. Passinger, 41, of Mayville was charged Wednesday with felony driving while intoxicated, having .08 percent or more blood alcohol content and felony aggravated unlicensed operation.

An investigation into an accident on Valley Street in Mayville, officers found the driver and a passenger had fled on foot.

The driver, identified as Passinger, was located nearby and he was charged.

In addition to the above charges, he also was cited for unsafe start and leaving the scene of an accident.

He is to answer the charges in Chautauqua Town Court.

  • GERRY - A two vehicle crash Thursday on the Gerry-Ellington Road sent one of the drivers to the hospital.

Deputies said Mary E. Mead, 90, of Sinclairville was attempting to make a left hand turn onto Damon Hill Road when she turned in front of Lavern Shaw, 47, of Gerry.

Both vehicles collided and after the impact, the Mead vehicle came to rest in the front yard of a residence.

Mead was transported to WCA Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

Charges are pending.
