Benito and Cecelia Colaiacovo of Dunkirk celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Oct. 3, 2009. They were honored at a dinner reception hosted by their children at Peek 'n Peak Resort at Findley Lake. Family and friends attended from New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio and California.
The former Cecelia Ross and Benito were married on Nov. 14, 1959, at St. Vitus Church of New Castle, Pa. They renewed their wedding vows at an anniversary Mass hosted by the Diocese of Buffalo on Oct. 18, 2009, at St. Joseph's Cathedral in Buffalo.
They are the parents of Benjamin Colaiacovo of Boca Raton, Fla., Karen Colaiacovo of Fredonia, Kristen (Michael) Ferro of Dunkirk, and Kathy (Todd) Grady of Rochester. They have three grandchildren, Phillip and Angelo Colaiacovo and Gianna Ferro.
