Sinclairville Senior Citizens hold Thanksgiving luncheon meeting

SINCLAIRVILLE - Members of the Sinclairville Senior Citizens gathered for a Thanksgiving luncheon, and honored those who have a birthday during the month of November. The Sinclairville Senior Citizens meet once a month for a luncheon and a program at the Sinclairville Fire Hall dining room.
Those having a birthday in November, included Dawn Emmott, Robert Peterson and Diman Smith. To commemorate the occasion, a special holiday cake was baked by Ranae Kaus of Cassadaga, and provided by the group's secretary John Sipos. Those in attendance enjoyed a full turkey dinner catered by Lisa Rangel, Mona Koterass and Varsi Peterson. A fine lunch was enjoyed by all. Trays of cookies and gift cards were provided by Lori Barrett, director of the Adult Day Services of the Tanglewood Manor in Jamestown.
Vice President Paul Derkovitz was in charge of drawings. Recipients included Louisa Smith, Irene Goot and Judy Hulett. Other prizes were awarded to Marge McIntyre, Lori Barrett, Allene Newton, Nellie Sharp, Linda Parmenter, Susan Sipos, John Sipos, Richard Johnson, Martha Harmon and Audrey Prosser. Holiday table decorations were provided by Paul and Sandy Derkovitz, Sis Morley, Marge McIntyre, and Norvale Martin-Gane.
Treasurer Claudia Wittenbrook gave the financial report, and secretary Sipos read the minutes of the previous meeting. Appreciation was extended to Betty Wielgasz for sending cards to members on their birthdays, and to those are ill. Wielgasz provides this communication for the group which is important.
The program for the meeting included many Thanksgiving stories, which everyone seems to have from the past.
The next meeting of the group will be on Tuesday, Dec. 8 At that time, a ham dinner with sweet potato, mixed vegetables and a variety of pies will be served. Reservations are necessary and can be made by calling President Titus. Table decorations will be coordinated by Linda Parmenter, assisted by President Titus and secretary Sipos. Mrs. Wittenbrook will be providing a special Christmas gift for each person. New members are always welcome.
