Suspect caught in P & G burglary

A Dunkirk man was apprehended after a burglary at P & G Foods, 411 Central Ave., that occurred during the overnight hours early Sunday morning.
According to reports by the Dunkirk Police Department, the front door of the business had been broken out early in the morning, allowing the perpetrator to gain access to the store.
Once inside, the trespasser gathered numerous items before fleeing the scene.
Dunkirk Police began an intensive investigation, with assistance by the Fredonia Police Department.
A search warrant was issued by City Court Judge Walter Drag.
Police arrested Kevin R. Raymond, 44, without incident at 32 W. Fifth St. in the city of Dunkirk.
It is believed that all property taken from P & G Food was recovered by investigating officers.
Charges against Raymond include third degree burglary, third degree criminal mischief and fourth degree grand larceny, all felony charges.
According to the report filed Sunday afternoon, an investigation is continuing at this time.
