Congressman Brian Higgins has released the December schedule for his Chautauqua County Congress On Your Corner program, which offers regular satellite hours in an effort to better serve local residents. Over the last four years Congressman Higgins has offered the Congress on Your Corner program more than 500 times at locations in Chautauqua County alone and another 140 sites in the county are scheduled for 2009.

During Congress on Your Corner, constituents have the opportunity to talk with someone from Congressman Higgins' office about issues related to Social Security, the Veteran's Administration, citizenship and immigration, or any other federal matters they may need assistance with.

The December Congress on Your Corner schedule will be as follows:

Dec. 4

9 to 11 a.m. - Portland Town Hall, 87 W. Main St.

11:30 a.m. to noon - Dunkirk Senior Center, 45 Franklin Ave.

1 to 3 p.m. - Dunkirk City Hall, Mayor's Conference Room, 2nd Floor

Dec. 8

11:30 a.m. to noon - Jamestown Savings Bank Arena, Snack Bar

Dec. 11

11:30 a.m. to noon - Fredonia-Pomfret Grape Belt Senior Center, 32 Moore Ave.

1 to 3 p.m. Fredonia Village Hall, Trustees Room, 2nd Floor, Village Hall

Dec. 16

9 to 11 a.m. - Lakewood Village Hall, 20 W. Summit St.

1 to 3 p.m. - Mina, Findley Lake Community Center, 2883 North Road

Dec. 18

9 to 11 a.m. - Westfield Village Hall, North Room Eason Hall, 23 Elm St.

11:30 a.m. to noon - Portage Hills Apts., 40 Evans St.

1 to 3 p.m. - Mayville Community Center, 2 Academy St.

Residents are encouraged to visit a satellite site to share their concerns, questions and ideas with a representative from Congressman Higgins' office. Residents can also continue to reach Congressman Higgins' permanent office in Chautauqua County from 9am to 5pm Monday through Friday at 2 E, Second St. in Jamestown.
