Mr. and Mrs. Angelo Bomasuto, Jr. celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Sept. 12, 2009. A party was hosted by their daughter and son-in-law Michael and Julie Bunge and granddaughter Olivia of South Carolina.
Carol is the daughter of the late Wilhemena Murphy of Dunkirk and Angelo is the son of the late Angelo and Josephine Bomasuto, Sr.
Angelo and Carol were married on Sept. 12, 1959 at Holy Trinity Church in Dunkirk by Rev. Bernardo. They have two children, Julie Bunge of South Carolina, and Angelo Bomasuto of Fredonia. They have two granddaughters and two great-grandchildren.

A candlelight buffet dinner was held at the Fredonia Beaver Club for 125 guests. Many of the original wedding party members were in attendance. Those included were: Philip Leone of Rochester, Angela Leone of Dunkirk, Ross DiBias of Dunkirk, Nora Harris of Dunkirk, Andy Tuning of Dunkirk, Diane Brooks of Oakfield, and Ellen Murphy of Dunkirk.
Many of the original wedding moementos were on display including photos, wedding gown, veil, headpiece and cake topper. Guests attended from Dunkirk, Fredonia, Jamestown, Rochester, Silver Creek, Liverpool, Snyder, Mayville, Oakfield, Cassadaga, Portland, Alden, Cowlesville, Cicero, Stockton, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and South Carolina.
