Fredonia Police

Michael Smith, 28, of Hamburg was charged Nov. 24 with petit larceny after allegedly stealing seven packs of NFL playing cards.

David Brown, 25, of Prospect Street was charged Nov. 26 with disorderly conduct fight and violent behavior following a fight in Fredonia.

Kenneth Mosley Sr., 26, of North Martin Street, Dunkirk was charged Nov. 27 with disorderly conduct-obscene language and gestures.

Andrew Diaz, 34, of West Fourth Street, Dunkirk was charged Nov. 29 with obstruction of governmental administration.

Dunkirk Police

Christian Gonzalez, 19, of South Beagle Street was charged Nov. 26 with petit larceny and burglary.

Willie Lockett, 47, of Dunkirk was charged Nov. 27 with petit larceny.

Monica Fedrick, 22, of North Ermine Street, was charged Nov. 28 with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, failure to signal within 100 feet, driving uninsured and on a suspended registration, failure to notify DMV of change of address and unlawful possession of marijuana.

Carlos Vasquez-Ram-irez, 28, of East Second Street, Dunkirk was charged Nov. 30 with first-degree attempted rape and second-degree assault.

Aaron Cole, 18, of South Pangolin Street, was charged Nov. 30 with obstruction of governmental administration, third-degree escape, and unlawful possession of marijuana.

Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office

HANOVER - Two Hanover men were arrested Monday on warrants charging them with fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property.

Deputies said on Nov. 24, Mark A. Menciewicz, 45, of Allegany Road allegedly stole a shotgun from an Allegany Road residence then took the gun to his home, which is also the home of Daniel Seeley, 43.

Both men are convicted felons and cannot possess firearms.

They allegedly sold the shotgun to a third party.

In addition to the above listed charges, Menciewicz also was cited for fourth-degree grand larceny.

POLAND - Miguel W. Muniz, 27, of Virginia Boulevard, Kennedy was charged Sunday with endangering the welfare of a child and second-degree harassment.

Deputies said Muniz and his wife were allegedly involved in a fight while their two children, ages 1 and 4, witnessed the fight.

JAMESTOWN - Gary Long, 36, of Silver Creek was charged with misuse of food stamps and two counts of fourth-degree welfare fraud.

He allegedly failed to report to social services that he was employed and living in Silver Creek.

Because of this, he received $1,100 in public assistance benefits he was not entitled to.

MAYVILLE - Two people featured on the Chautauqua County Wanted Persons list have had their names removed.

Michelle L. Pace, 45, of Lakewood was wanted for violating probation. She turned herself in on the charge.

Simeon A. Leeper, 33, of Buffalo was wanted for resisting arrest. He was located in Auburn Prison and the charge was handled through the judicial system.

CARROLL - A collision between a tractor-trailer truck and a passenger vehicle Monday on the Falconer-Frewsburg Road resulted in damage to both.

Deputies said Stephen Trusel, 23, of Phettaplace, Falconer was traveling behind the truck operated by Patrick J. Savola, 44, of Brockville, Ont., who began making a right turn into a business.

Savola swung out into the oncoming lane of traffic to negotiate the turn and was struck by Trusel in the passenger side of the tractor.

Trusel told officers he thought the truck was turning left.

Neither driver was injured and Trusel was ticketed for an expired inspection.
