William P. Smith, 51, of Fredonia died Thursday, Dec. 10, 2009.
He was born May 19, 1958 in Dunkirk, the son of the late William V. and Patricia (Cirrito) Smith.
A lifelong area resident, Mr. Smith had been employed as a construction worker for LIUNA Local 210 in Buffalo.
Survivors include his wife, Kathleen (Keppel) Smith; two brothers, Peter (Mary) Smith of Dunkirk and Alfred (Gina) Smith of Naples, Fla.; one sister, Susan (Robert) Garigal of Dunkirk; three step-daughters, Sally (Thomas) Kawski and Nicole (Raymond) May, both of Fredo-nia, and Sara (Douglas) Jaf-fray of Chester, S.C.; seven grandchildren, Frankie, Sammy, Angie, Georgie, Alex, Dougie and William; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Alfred and Gertrude (Skrypek) Cirrito.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass which will be celebrated Friday morning, Dec. 18, 2009 at 11 o'clock in Holy Trinity Church. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are by the McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home.
