Debra A. Pegelow, 51, died December 11, 2009 at the ECMC of Buffalo, NY after a short illness.

Debra "Debby" was born October 13, 1958 in Sewickley, PA. She graduated from Beaver High School in 1976, completed a 2 year term at JCC with honors and also graduated with a Bachelor of Science from SUNY at Fredonia in 2006 with honors. She was a member of Phi Theta Kappa Society.

She moved to NY in 1976 where she met Mark Pegelow, whom she married in 1982. She worked for WNYDDSO Matteson St. Home & Dayhab Center in Fredonia from 1987 - 2009. She volunteered for the Senior Companion Program for WNYDDSO and JNK's, was a Brownie Troop leader for School 4, Cheerleading Coach for Dunkirk Middle School and High School, a Domes-tic Violence/Rape Crisis Counselor and a member of the Women's Lakeshore Marine Corps Auxiliary.

Debra is survived by her husband, Mark; children Justin (Nicole & Chole) of FL, Jenna of TN; stepson, Mark Jr. of FL. She is further survived by mother, Ellen Bailey, brothers Jim and Bill, nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by father, James Hummel and stepfather, Don Bailey.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, December 17, 2009 at 2 p.m. at the Noll Funeral Home, 333 Third St., Beaver, PA. A lo-cal memorial service is to be announced.
