For the past two years, downtown Fredonia's Intermezzo Coffeehouse has played host to monthly readings by a variety of mediums and/or psychics. This event is on the last Saturday of each month. Medium Saturday continues Dec. 26 with the return of medium Barbara Sanson.

Rev. Sanson is a longtime resident of Lily Dale, the largest center for Spiritualism in the world. An ordained Spiritualist minister, she retired from a successful business and professional career in 1988 and embarked on a journey to expand her life as a medium and healer. She has been the chairperson of the Healing Temple in Lily Dale for more than 17 years and has served as president of the Lily Dale Medium's League for the past six years.

Sanson notes that the major focus of her work is dedicated to individuals who look to find healing within their hearts, be it through spirit communication or inner awakening from spiritual healing. "As we heal ourselves, we expand our horizons and seek balance in our lives," she said. "It is my sincere privilege to be of support and assistance in the discovery of finding 'the joy of the journey'."

Sanson will give readings between 10:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. Fifteen-minute readings are $20 and half-hour readings are $40. To make a reservation, call Intermezzo Coffeehouse at 672-6070. Gift certificates are available for those who wish to give a reading as a holiday gift or stocking stuffer. Walk-ins will be accepted if there are any remaining openings.
