Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office
- IRVING - Perrysburg resident Gerald T. Tallchief, 42, was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana at Lake Shore Hospital.
On Sunday, Dec. 20, at approximately 7:20 p.m., the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office received a call that a patient in the emergency room was believed to be in possession of a quantity of marijuana. Tallchief was located by deputies and subsequently charged. He was issued an appearance ticket to answer to the charge in Hanover Town Court next month.
- ?JAMESTOWN - Brandi M. Marsh, 35, of Jamestown, was arrested and issued appearance tickets for five counts of offering a false instrument in the first degree and misuse of food stamps. She allegedly told the Department of Social Services that she had her three children living with her when, in fact, they were living with their father. Marsh was found to have received $6,540 in food stamp benefits she was not entitled to have. She is to appear in City of Jamestown Court in January 2010.
- CHERRY CREEK - Seth J. Howard, 29, of Cherry Creek was stopped for speeding on Route 83. After an investigation, Howard was found to be intoxicated. He was charged with speeding, driving while intoxicated and Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) of .08 percent or more. Howard will be in Town of Cherry Creek Court at a later date.
- John W. Morrell of Panama was wanted by the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office for violation probation. He has been arrested and was committed to Chautauqua County Jail.
Gowanda Police Department
- Justin Anderson, 23, of Otto was picked up Dec. 19 on an active warrant from Cattaraugus?County following a vehicle stop on Bagdad Road. Anderson, a passenger in the stopped vehicle, was also charged with being in possession of an open container of alcohol in a vehicle. He was charged as above and turned over to Cattaraugus County.
