State Police?Collins

  • DAYTON - Lawrence?Barone, 33, of Kennedy Ave., Angola was charged Dec. 29 with second-degree aggravated harassment following a complaint on Dec. 19 by a Dayton resident. Barone had reportedly worked with the complainant and believed the complainant had a hand in his firing. Barone had reportedly been calling and leaving threatening messages at the complainant's home. Barone was scheduled to appear in Dayton Town Court.
  • BRANT - Andrew Hooper, 44, of Route 249, Brant was charged Dec. 27 with driving while intoxicated following a traffic stop on Route 249. Hooper was reportedly found to be intoxicated following roadside field sobriety tests and was processed at the Collins barracks with a reportable BAC of .16 percent. He is scheduled to appear in?Brant Town Court in February.
  • Sarah Ross, 34, of School?Street, Angola was charged Dec. 26 with driving while intoxicated following a vehicle stop on Route 62 in?Collins. Ross was reportedly found to be intoxicated following roadside field sobriety tests and was processed at the Collins barracks with a reportable BAC of .21 percent. She was scheduled to appear in Collins Town Court.
  • IRVING - Bethany Marx, 27, of Route 438, Gowanda was charged Dec. 23 with driving while intoxicated, unsafe speed, crossing hazard markings and no seatbelt following a one-car personal injury accident on Route 438 near Hawk Meadow Drive.

Marx and a 30-year-old female passenger were reportedly traveling east when she failed to negotiate a curve. Her van exited the right side of the highway, striking a tree and flipping onto its roof. Marx was taken to ECMC via Mercy?Flight with serious head, upper body and leg injuries. Her passenger was taken to Lake Shore Hospital and later transferred to ECMC with head and upper body injuries.

Marx was schedule to appear in Brant Town Court following her release from the hospital.
