Rebecca Sue (Gizowski) and Ryan Walter Uhlendorff

A double-ring ceremony at St. Anthony's Church in Fredonia on Aug. 8, 2009, united in marriage Rebecca Sue Gizowski of Forestville and Ryan Walter Uhlendorff of Silver Creek.

Father Carlton J. Westfield officiated for the daughter of Alex and Carol Gizowski of Forestville and for the son of Walter and MaryAnne Uhlendorff of Silver Creek. Mrs. Amy Romanik and Aaron Borowczyk, sister of the groom and cousin of the bride, recited readings for the couple. Mrs. Margaret Borowczyk and Mrs. Ann Gizowski, grandmothers of the bride, offered the Communion gifts.

Escorted by her father, the bride chose her sister, Jessica Gizowski of Williamsville, as her maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Emily DelMonte of Orchard Park and Angie Astry of Mooresville, N.C., both friends of the bride. Serving as flower girls were Emma Romanik, of Silver Creek and Alyssa Woodward of Turnersville, N.J., both nieces of the groom.

Alex Gizowski Jr. of Forestville, brother of the bride, served as best man. Groomsmen were Matthew Ellis and Brian Rocque, friends of the groom, both from Silver Creek.

Family and friends gathered for an evening reception at the White Inn in Fredonia.

Mrs. Uhlendorff graduated from SUNY Geneseo and is employed by Frederick County Public Schools as as a third through fifth grade special education teacher. Mr. Uhlendorff graduated from Alfred State College and is employed as lead electrician for LaFarge, North America in Frederick.

Following a honeymoon in Alaska, the newlyweds are at home in Frederick.
