Jocelyn Marie Polito of Fredonia and Jacob Boyle of Wichita, Kan., were united in a double-ring ceremony on the beach at sunset in Maui, Hawaii, on Oct. 6, 2009. The bride is the daughter of Joel and Frances Polito of Fredonia. The groom is the son of Thomas and Patricia Boyle of Wichita.
The bride graduated from Fredonia High School with honors in 1994 and graduated from SUNY Fredonia summa cum laude with a bachelor of science in chemistry in 1997. She earned her Ph.D. in chemistry in 2003 from SUNY ESF at Syracuse University and is currently a research scientist at Cirrus Pharmaceutical in Raleigh, N.C.
The groom graduated from Kansas State University with a bachelor of arts in statistics and geography. He is currently a statistical programmer in the research triangle area of Raleigh.
