A Dec. 12, 2009 wedding ceremony at SUNY Fredonia united in marriage Miss Chanel Kathi Alessi and Mr. Nicholas Edward Ziemba, both of Fredonia. The Rev. Michael Lokietek officiated with assistance from Rev. Rita Beatty, both of Family Church.
The bride is the daughter of Carl and Darlene Alessi of Fredonia and the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter and Mary Mosher of Cherry Creek. The groom is the son of Donald and Paulette Ziemba of Fredonia, grandson of Mrs. Dorothy Ziemba of Dunkirk.
Escorted by her parents, the bride wore a white chiffon A-line gown with halter beaded neck line, and a sweep train. The bridal party bouquets and reception centerpieces were made from fresh white gladiolus, in memory of the brides' paternal grandmother, Mrs. Cecilia Alessi.

Serving as maid of honor was Kristine Denman of Pembroke Pines, Fla. Brides' attendants were Lindsay Calalesina of Blasdell and Scott Wise of Laona.
Best man for the groom was Michael Tobio of Fredonia. Serving as grooms attendants were Ryan Calalesina of Blasdell and the grooms' brother Michael Ziemba. The grooms' brother Jason Ziemba served as usher.
Mrs. Ziemba is a 2002 graduate of Charles Flanagan High School, Pembroke Pines, and attended Broward Community College in Davie, Fla. She is employed by Fashion Bug.
Mr. Ziemba is a 2003 graduate of Fredonia High School, and attended Jamestown Community College. He is employed by Advantage Auto.
Following their honeymoon, the newlyweds are at home in Fredonia.
