The Chautauqua County Chamber has launched a new series of business networking events with a theme. The Chamber themed events are titled 'Experience Chautauqua County.'
"These events are designed for business people to network, have fun, learn and experience the sites and tastes of the County," stated Guy Ditonto, Member Services Manager, Chautauqua County Chamber of Commerce. "Our goal is to mix fun with substance and offer businesses information and strategies they can take back to their workplace to either reduce costs or increase revenues."
The first in the series of events titled 'Earth Day' will be held at the Jamestown Audubon Society, April 22 at 5 p.m. The event will include four components, business networking, entertainment, a learning opportunity to help businesses reduce their costs, experiencing and learning about the beautiful surroundings at the Audubon and food provided by 3 C's catering. The learning component of the event will be regarding low cost ways in which businesses can reduce their energy costs. In addition there will be entertainment at the event provided by the Unexpected Guest, Jamestown's Improv Comedy Group.
This year's Experience Chautauqua County themes will include:
April: Earth Day, Audubon Center and Sanctuary, Jamestown.
June: The Great Outdoors, on Chautauqua Lake at the Watermark, Mayville.
July: Fun at the Fairgrounds, Chautauqua County Fairgrounds, Dunkirk.
August: Let's Go Out to the Ballgame at Russell Diethrick Park, Jamestown
October: Octoberfest at the Empty Pint, August Southern Tier Brewing, Lakewood
December: The Spirit of Giving Christmas Event at the Clarion, Dunkirk.
"Our core objective with these events is to bring businesses together in a social setting to facilitate commerce as well as have an enjoyable evening," stated Ditonto.
There will be a variety of prizes including the following: A bottle of wine from Liberty Vineyards, Gift Passes from the YMCA, $50 gift certificate from Olive's Restaurant, Gift Basket from DFT/Netsync, a prize package of 2 dual admissions & logo t-shirts from the Lucy Desi Center, a Blue Tooth headset from Verizon Wireless and 2 golf shirts from Chautauqua Energy Management. Grand prizes include the following: A $500 gift certificate from Family Orthodontics and a certificate valued at $550 from Jamestown Rubber Stamp.
