An afternoon tea reception was recently held at the White Inn in honor of Harold and Olivia (Centner) Rusch's 60th wedding anniversary. The celebration also marked Harold's 85th birthday and Olivia's 80th birthday. Their seven children (Edward, Harold "Hal" Jr., Susan, Mary Sue, Janie, Sally and Bob) hosted the party, and their youngest son, Bob, in tribute to the many years they have shared, made a toast to his parents and brothers and sisters. Guests, including cousins, nieces/nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends, who came in from as far away as West Virginia, North and South Carolina, and California, were entertained by a music and photo presentation sharing lots of memories from throughout the decades. In addition to an anniversary cake with the original cake topper from their wedding date, light hors d'oeuvres with punch, coffee and tea were served.

In lieu of gifts, the couple asked for non-perishable food items to be donated to the Rural Ministries of Chautauqua County. Guests contributed 165 pounds of food items and over $100 in donations.
