Dixie Kate Forbes of Versailles married Brennen Michael Weidl of Pittsburgh, Pa., on July 24, 2010 on Dixieland Tree Farm in Versailles. The ceremony was officiated by Pastor David Watson, Father Bob Miller and Connie Johnson, justice of the peace.
The bride is the daughter of Carl and Judith Forbes of Versailles and the groom is the son of George Weidl and Joanne Ferretti-Weidl of Pittsburgh, Pa. The bride was presented in marriage by her father. She wore a sleeveless, V-neck, silk white gown, accented with Swarovski crystals.
The bride was attended by her friend, Megan Grocutt, maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Kati Pryce, Caitlin Newman, Kori Mallon, Erica Prizel and Tina Maines, all friends of the bride. Her attendants wore buttercup yellow silk dresses with turquoise accents.

Groomsmen were the groom's three brothers, Andy, Kevin and Casey Weidl, and brother of the bride Ian Forbes.
Music was provided by the 16-piece Buffalo Swing Band and the reception was held at Dixieland Tree Farm.
The newlyweds honeymooned for two weeks in Venice, Florence and the Greek Isles. They are currently working and residing in New York City.
