Halloween weekend is finally here! Unless you're particularly psyched on the holiday, you're probably sick of hearing about it but I'm not going to talk politics in honor of the upcoming election as an alternative.
With Oct. 31 on a Sunday this year, this is the optimal set-up for a complete Halloween weekend. This way, Halloween parties can be held Friday, Saturday and Sunday, providing maximum opportunities for costumes, candy and festivities.
Here are a few more costume ideas of my own design that are most appropriate for fall 2010:

Let this pumpkin serve as an example: don’t embarrass yourself this Halloween weekend.
Zombie Bills Fan
Make use of all that Bills garb that is surely collecting dust by now in your hall closet and add an undead twist. If someone asks what you're supposed to be, explain "I am a Bills fan who couldn't bear to continue watching this beyond-horrible season."
Jailbird Lindsay Lohan
She may be in rehab now, but what fun is that? Either an orange jumpsuit or stripes will work, put on a blonde wig, and make sure you carry some cigarettes that's currency! and a bottle of contraband "pills." Sure, they're not allowed, but our ever-resourceful Lindsay might be able to find a way to bend the rules. Bonus points if you can manage to get a Restylyne injection for that gorgeous "duck lips" look she's working in her mug shot. In a pinch, a punch in the face from a friend could provide you with a fat lip (be honest, you must know at least one person who would happily volunteer).
Jimmy McMillian of The Rent is 2 Damn High Party
Don faux facial hair, glasses, gloves and a Col. Sanders-style suit. If anyone questions your costume, simply respond: "The rent is too damn high." I recommend going to the party's official website and listening to that catchy theme music while getting ready in order to truly get in the McMillan spirit.
WHAT'S HAPPENING
"It's not the bar that it used to be," Cindi Conti of the new Liberty's Cafe said. "You can bring your family here."
Liberty's will have daily food specials, lunch on weekdays from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and a bar menu from 4 p.m. until close. This weekend, the bar will be open until 2 a.m. Friday and Saturday.
