Megan Elizabeth Scott and Michael Robert Miller were united in marriage on Aug. 21, 2010 in Dunkirk. The wedding and reception took place at Shorewood Country Club on Lake Erie. Judge Walter Drag, a family friend, officiated the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of John and Shirley Scott of Dunkirk. The groom is the son of Robert Miller Jr. of Minoa, N.Y., and Maureen Race of Liverpool, N.Y.
Wedding soloist was Amanda Dillon accompanied by Ed Michalenko on guitar. An excerpt from the book "The Velveteen Rabbit" was read by John and Courtney Scott, brother and sister-in-law of the bride. A scripture reading was read by Alex Michalenko, cousin of the groom.

The bride wore an ivory floor length gown with a crisscross ruche bodice with spaghetti straps. Her bouquet consisted of hand-crafted palm and banana leaf flowers from Indonesia, wrapped with ivory satin ribbon.
The matron of honor was Tovah Sheldon, cousin of the bride, of Brooklyn, Mich. Bridesmaids were Tracy Tarnowski of Dunkirk, Ariel Bentham of Rochester and Frances Brzozowski of Syracuse, all friends of the bride. The flower girl was Jamison Barnes of Jackson, Mich., second cousin of the bride.
Serving as best man was Matt Miller of East Syracuse, brother of the groom. Groomsmen included Martin Wisniewski Jr. of Minoa, cousin of the groom; Phillip Carhart of East Syracuse and Sean Blakeney of Syracuse, friends of the groom. Ring bearers were Jackson Barnes of Jackson, Michigan, second cousin of the bride and Henry Dougherty of Syracuse, second cousin of the groom.
The bride is a 2001 graduate of Dunkirk High School. She earned a bachelor of science degree in forest engineering from SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry in Syracuse in 2007. She is employed by EA Science Technology in Syracuse.
The groom is a 2001 graduate of East Syracuse-Minoa High School. He earned a bachelor of science in environmental science from SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry in Syracuse in 2005 and is employed by O'Brien and Gere as an environmental scientist.
The couple honeymooned on their sailboat with their puppy Clarabelle on Lake Champlain. They reside at home in Dewitt, N.Y.
