Mr. and Mrs. Keith Schmitt

Tammy Hess and Keith Schmitt of Forestville were united in marriage on Sept. 25, 2010 on the beach of the Fireman's Club in Silver Creek. The Rev. Ed Purdy Jr. of Cleveland, Ohio, relative of the bride, performed the double-ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Linda DeFries of Forestville. The groom is the son of George and Dorothy Schmitt of Arcade.

The bride was escorted by her mother. Serving as matron of honor was Michelle Maggio of Forestville, best friend of the bride. Christa DeFries of Fredonia, sister of the bride, served as bridesmaid.

The best man was Bill Rauth, best friend of the groom. The usher was Rich Schmitt of Buffalo, the groom's brother. Ring bearers were the bride's son, Michael Edmunds, and the bride's nephew, Gavin DeFries.

The reception was held at the Fireman's Club in Silver Creek.

The bride is a graduate of Fredonia High School and is employed as an office manager at Ray's Collision. She is also a licensed real estate agent for Howard Hanna Holt. The groom is a graduate of Eden Central School and is employed at Dunkirk Avionics.
