Richard G. Boorady and Nohade Asmar Boorady were married on Jan. 2, 1961 at St. Mary R.C. Church in Dunkirk.
The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Monsignor Peter Sfeir, concelebrated by Rev. Joseph Bitar and the Rev. Victor Donovan.
The Brick Room was the setting for the couple's 50th anniversary celebration, a surprise party planned by their six sons and their families. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Boorady thanked everyone and extended special thanks to their children Dr. Roy, Albert and (Rebecca); Charles and Karine, Drs. Joseph and Theresa, Thomas and Jody and Andre for all their love and the surprise that was done in their honor.
