A $16 million EXCEL project for repairs desperately needed for the Brocton Central Schools will be voted on Feb. 15. The district, which had more than 1,300 residents - a questionable number - turn out to vote down a merger in 2009, is also facing another cut from New York state. In his proposal, Gov. Andrew Cuomo is decreasing state aid to the school by about 6 percent, which totals more than $600,000.
