Charles and Barbara Krauth

Charles and Barbara Krauth will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. They were married at Brocton Baptist Church on Feb. 25, 1961, with the Rev. Fred Marshall officiating the ceremony. Mr. Krauth is the son of Mr. and Mrs. George (Grace Becker) Krauth. Mrs. Krauth is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Norman (Edna Springborn) Ransom.

Mr. Krauth is retired from his work as a pressman for Great Lakes Color and pressman in charge at Columbus Dispatch. Mrs. Krauth is a homemaker and a retired antique doll clothes seamstress.

The couple's five children include Mr. and Mrs. Owen (Melanie Krauth) Ballew, Mr. and Mrs. Brian (Michelle Krauth) Walsh, Mr. and Mrs. Eric (Melissa Krauth) Bubbenmoyer, Mr. and Mrs. Michael (Jena Dolce) Krauth, Marlene Krauth and Bonita Wheeler. They have seven grandchildren.

Their children will host an open house to celebrate their anniversary at the Brocton American Legion on Saturday, Feb. 19, from 1 to 4 p.m. Guests will be attending from Brocton, Fredonia, Dunkirk, Lakewood, Rahway, N.J.; Erie, Pa.; Lenhartsville, Pa.; Pottstown, Pa.; West Palm Beach, Fla.; Orchard Park, Grand Island and Rochester. A family dinner will be held at the Nickel Plate Depot.
