Jennifer L. Zanghi and Michael J. Ives announce their engagement. Zanghi is the daughter of Thomas and Susan Zanghi of Cassadaga. Ives is the son of Joseph and Kimberly Ives of Ogdensburg.
The bride-to-be is a 2008 graduate of Cassadaga Valley High School and is currently attending Clarkson University where she is a contracted Army ROTC cadet. She will commission as a second lieutenant, and graduate with a B.S. in mechanical engineering in 2012.
Her fiance is a 2005 graduate of Ogdensburg Free Academy and a 2009 graduate of Clarkson University. He earned a B.S. in interdisciplinary engineering and management and commissioned as an officer in the U.S. Army through Clarkson's ROTC program. He is currently a first lieutenant serving as a fire support officer with C Troop, 3-71 Cavalry, 3 IBCT, 10th Mountain Division, Fort Drum, N.Y. He is scheduled to deploy to Afghanistan in March.
