Tom and Christine (Privitere) Piede recently celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary at a dinner with their immediate family. They were married at the former Holy Trinity Church on Ruggles Street in Dunkirk on Feb. 22, 1941. Mr. Piede is retired from AL Tech Steel Corporation in Dunkirk and Mrs. Piede is a homemaker.
The Piedes have two sons, Joseph (Kathleen Ahlstrom) of Fredonia and Fred (Rosemary Civilette) Piede of Dunkirk. They have five grandchildren: Tom (Min) of Glen Ridge, N.J.; Luke (Andrea) of Deallan, N.J.; Christopher (Tonia) of Dunkirk, Fred (Amy) of Fredonia and Michelle (Mario) Muscarella of Dunkirk. They have nine great-grandchildren: Lily, Nick, Sofiya, Mia Rose, Angelina, Anthony, Rebecca, Thomas (TJ) and Rocco.
