On Friday, March 4, Leslie (Popeye) and Sylvia Howard celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a party hosted by their daughters Julie (Ronald) Gruber, Lori (James) Bartlett, five of their grandchildren and three of their great-grandchildren. Those present included wedding party attendants Linda Hilliman of Conewango Valley, Nancy Howard of Randolph, Lester Howard of Greensburg, Ind., David Clark of Irving and Mrs. Lynn Feurestein of Cattaraugus. Many family and friends also helped celebrate with the happy couple at the Slovenia Club in Gowanda.
Mr. and Mrs. Howard were married March 4, 1961 at the South Dayton United Methodist Church. They are the children of the late Orin and Grace Marie Clark and Louis and Nell Rose Howard. An evening of memories, laughter and reacquainting was enjoyed by all.
