Kelly Jean Docyk and Lawrence John Chaffee announce their engagement. Docyk is the daughter of Pete Docyk of Patchogue, N.Y., and Barbara Docyk-Boettcher of Dunkirk. Chaffee is the son of Larry and Sue Chaffee of Dunkirk.
The bride-to-be is a 1997 graduate of Dunkirk High School and a 2003 graduate of Fashion Institute of Technology. She is self-employed.
The prospective groom is a 2001 graduate of Dunkirk High School. He is employed as a retail manager at Home Depot.
