The final AARP Driving Course for the spring season will be held Tuesday, May 24. Pre-registration is required and only can be made by calling 532-2507. Courses will resume in the fall, dates to be announced.
The Tai Chi Class and Senior Bowling have ended for the spring season.
A new trip has been scheduled for July 18 to the Seneca Niagara Casino. Casino incentives are $20 slot dollars and $5 food. Current state/federal issued ID is required to receive incentives. Cost is $10 for residents of the towns of Collins, Perrysburg and Persia, $12 for all others.
The motor coach departs at 11 a.m. from the front parking lot of the center. A five-hour stay at the casino is required. The return home time is estimated for 6 p.m. For reservations, call Byrne or sign up in the senior room where a flyer is also available. Payment is due with reservations. Final day for reservations is June 30. A minimum of 40 passengers required.
A fall trip on Sept. 18-22 to Wildwood, N.J., is planned. The trip includes a visit to historic Cape May, a dolphin watch sightseeing cruise and a visit to the Towne of Historic Smithville.
The trip includes four breakfasts, three full-course dinners, music, entertainment, time to experience the spectacular Wildwood Boardwalk, a trip to Atlantic City where you can try your luck at the casinos and much more.
The cost is $370 per person for double occupancy; 40 people are needed to go. A $70 deposit is due when making reservations - final day is June 30. Early reservations are appreciated. Collins Center Seniors
COLLINS - The next meeting for the Collins Center Seniors will be Monday at the Gowanda American Legion Post 409 with a pot luck lunch at noon followed by a short meeting.
Passengers on the Washington, D.C., trip are asked to stay after the regular meeting to receive final information for the May 6-9 trip. Passengers for the Polish Party trip Wednesday are reminded that the motor coach will depart from Gabels' parking lot at 8:30 a.m.
Seats are available for the Head to the Shore trip June 5-8 to Atlantic City and Wildwood with guided tours of Cape May and Philadelphia. Non-members are welcome.
A trip to the Seneca Niagara Casino is scheduled for Thursday, June 23.
A new trip is planned for Tuesday, July 12, called "Locks and Carousels." The group will travel to historic Lockport and enjoy a canal-side buffet lunch, with other stops planned at Olcott Beach's Carousel Park and Murphy's Orchard. The coach will depart at 8:30 a.m. and return at 7 p.m.
The Daniel O'Donnell show is planned for Nov. 30 in Niagara Falls, Canada. Members are reminded that a $35 deposit is due by Monday to hold their tickets.
