Don LoGuidice of Fredonia and Sharon Muntz of Dunkirk announce the engagement of their daughter, Amanda LoGuidice, to Daniel Bartel, son of Mike and Janice Bartel of Riverview, Fla. (formerly of Lancaster, N.Y.).
The bride-to-be is a 2001 Dunkirk High School graduate. She earned her bachelor of science degree in biology in 2007 from Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester and Ph.D. in pharmaceutical sciences with a concentration in pharmacology/toxicology in 2011 from University of Connecticut. She will begin a job as a postdoctoral associate at Shands Medical Center at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Fla., this September.
Her fiance graduated from Lancaster High School in 2000 and is a 2004 graduate of SUNY Oswego with a bachelor of arts degree in information science. He is currently employed as a claims supervisor at Geico in Lakeland, Fla.
