Catherine Ann Popielarz of Dunkirk and Thomas Michael Brown II of Fredonia announce their engagement. Popielarz is the daughter of Anthony Popielarz of Dunkirk and the late Gloria Popielarz. Brown is the son of Diane and Bruce Wilger of Fredonia, and Thomas and Cindy Brown of Dunkirk.
The bride-to-be is a graduate of Dunkirk High School and SUNY Brockport. She is the general merchandise manager at the FSA Bookstore, SUNY Fredonia.
The prospective groom is a graduate of Fredonia High School and Jamestown Community College. He is the owner of Tommy's Barber Shop and is a Village of Fredonia trustee.
