Norm and Sharon (Crampton) Eggleston of Irving are celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary on Sunday, June 19. They were married in a double-ring ceremony on June 19, 1971 at the Wesleyan Church in Angola by the Rev. Kaylor. They renewed their vows at their 25th wedding anniversary.
Mrs. Eggleston is the daughter of Harmon and Jean (Crampton) Eggleston. Mr. Eggleston is the son of Gaylord Eggleston and Mariam (Bill) Wayman. They both graduated from Lake Shore High School. For the past 15 years, they have opened their home for foster care. Their children are Mr. and Mrs. Christopher Eggleston, Mr. and Mrs. Sean Eggleston, Kateri Eggleston and fiance Nick Kuppel and Gary Eggleston and fiancee Cara Carmello. Over their 15 years of foster care they have adopted four boys; Jason Eggleston, Jeffrey Eggleston, Tyler Eggleston and Travis Eggleston and one girl, Kaila Hovan. They have 24 grandchildren.
A surprise anniversary party is planned for the couple today with guests from around the area.
