Brooke E. Kubasik and Benjamin F. Durfey were united in marriage at St. Mary's of the Lake in Watkins Glen, N.Y., on March 19, 2011. The double-ring ceremony was performed by Father Paul Bonnaci.
The bride is the daughter of William Kubasik of Dunkirk and Deborah Kubasik of Fredonia. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Durfey of Alpine, N.Y.
The bride was escorted down the aisle by her father. The maid of honor was Stephanie Wisniewski of Dunkirk, cousin of the bride. Bridesmaids were Amanda Winchell of Fredonia, sister of the bride; Jennifer Pencek of Dunkirk, friend of the bride; Sheena Durfey of Alpine, sister of the groom; Tanya Christopher of Dunkirk, friend of the bride and Stacy Falkowski of Elmira, cousin of the groom.

Josh Durfey of Raleigh, N.C., brother of the groom, served as the best man and Bryant Myers of Watkins Glen, friend of the groom, served as co-best man. Groomsmen were Anthony Truesdale of Durham, N.C., friend of the groom; Dave Winchell of Fredonia, brother-in-law to the bride; Adam Kubasik of Dunkirk, brother of the bride; Brad Cassel of Morristown, N.J., friend of the groom and Zach Lisk of Watkins Glen, cousin of the groom.
Brody Winchell of Fredonia, nephew of the bride, served as ring bearer. Tyler Winchell of Fredonia, nephew of the bride, served as usher.
A reception was held at the Holiday Inn in Elmira.
The bride is a graduate of Dunkirk High School. She is employed as a recovery specialist at General Revenue Corporation in Horseheads, N.Y. She is currently pursuing her BA in international relations and Latin American studies.
The groom is a graduate of Odessa Montour Central School and is employed with the United States Army.
The couple resides in Watkins Glen.
