Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bowen of Ripley are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. Robert married the former Norma Shields on July 1, 1961 at the First Presbyterian Church in Ripley. The celebration will take place at their home with a dinner hosted by their children.
The couple have four children: Cheryl Orton (Matt) of North East, Pa, Sheila Bentley (Bob) of Ripley, Karen Townson (Bob) of South Wales, N.Y., and Jim Bowen (Janine) of Ripley. They are also the grandparents of Heather and Jason Orton, Greg, (Heather) Ryan, (Sara) Kyle, (Ali) Kristi, Shane and Kailyn Bentley and Peter Colbey. They also have three great-grandchildren: Elana and Hannah Bentley and Trenton Abbate.
