Amy Marie-Frances Kuras and Jared Joseph Meyer of Dunkirk were united in marriage on July 9, 2011 in a 2 p.m. double-ring ceremony at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Dunkirk. The ceremony was officiated by Father Dennis Riter.
The bride is the daughter of Robert and Christine Kuras of Dunkirk. The groom is the son of Joseph and Elizabeth Meyer of Dunkirk.
The bride was escorted by her father. She wore a strapless, Maggie Sottero A-line satin gown, with corset closure and asymmetrical pleated bodice. The embellished lace bustline and side hip waterfall featured Swarovski crystals. The bride carried a bouquet of red, pink and white roses, wrapped with her grandmother Frances Kuras's rosary.

Music at the ceremony was performed by organist Fran Page and flutist Cindy Mackowiak.
Serving as matron of honor was Lottie Jemison of Fredonia, friend of the bride. Bridesmaids included friends of the bride Irene Stewart of North East, Pa., Maggie Owen of Dunkirk, Kim Lee of Isanti, Minn., and Elaine Hadley of Fredonia. Destiny Clemens of Fredonia, cousin of the bride, served as junior bridesmaid. All girls wore apple red satin gowns of their choice and carried bouquets of red, pink and white roses.
Flower girls included Haylee Jemison-Babar of Fredonia, friend of the bride, and Elizabeth Meyer of North East, Pa., niece of the groom.
The best man was Matthew Meyer of North East, Pa., brother of the groom. Ushers included friends of the groom Nicholas Barter of Fredonia, Joseph Snyder of Dunkirk, Timothy Winters of Fredonia and Carl Brandt of Forestville. Carson Rafan of Fredonia, cousin of the bride, served as junior groomsman.
The ring bearer was Hans Lemiszko of Dunkirk, cousin of the bride.
A reception was held at St. Hedwig's Social Center in Dunkirk.
The bride is a graduate of Dunkirk High School and Trocaire College in Buffalo. She is currently a registered nurse at the Chautauqua County Home
The groom is a graduate of Dunkirk High Schoold and New York State Academy of Fire Science. He is employed by the City of Dunkirk as a firefighter/EMT and rescue diver.
The couple took a brief trip to Niagara Falls, N.Y. A March 2012 Caribbean cruise is planned.
The newlyweds reside in Dunkirk.
