Richard Brennan and Kari Barnett announce their engagement. Barnett is the daughter of Randall and Karen Barnett of Dunkirk. Brennan is the son of Richard and Juanita Brennan of Silver Creek.
The bride-to-be is a graduate of Great Lakes Maritime Academy and Ferris State University where she earned a bachelor's degree in business administration and a United States Coast Guard Engineering License. Her fiance currently works as a maintenance mechanic at Nestle Purina in Dunkirk.
A destination wedding in Siesta Key, Fla., is planned for Feb. 18, 2012.
