Our Lady of Fatima Society

The Our Lady of Fatima Society of Blessed Mary Angela Parish met in the Lyceum on Tuesday, Sept. 13, with President Susan Nickle offering the opening "Prayer To The Angel."

Nickle welcomed everyone back after the summer vacation. She thanked members for their work towards the booth for the August Lawn Fete, and also thanked members for all the hard work in making the chicken biscuit dinner, bake sale and raffle a success.

It was announced that volunteers for the living Rosary for Wednesday, Oct. 5, at 7 p.m. are to contact Rita Cieslewicz.

Linda Curtin announced that the daily number drawing will be held in October. If anyone is interested in purchasing tickets, contact Curtin.

The First Saturday Our Lady of Fatima Mass and Rosary will be said on Oct. 1 at 8 a.m. of which members are reminded to attend.

The Rosary was prayed and prayers were offered for sick and deceased members.

After the meeting members enjoyed a variety of desserts from a table which was centered with the statue of Our Lady of Fatima surrounded by Black-eyed-Susans. Football favors and munchies decorated the tables, which were centered with fall leaves to represent a football homecoming theme. Refreshment committee ladies were Maryann Panfil, Diane Graves and Judy Szukala.

Games were played and prizes were awarded.

The next meeting will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 11, with Bonnie Kawski, Peggy Pokoj and Joan Gula on committee.
